Glazing Bars (Astragals) If individual double glazed units are used, the glazing bars are wider than traditional in order to hide the hot-melt border around a double glazed unit. We recommend the 'duplex' system where a single double glazed unit is used and narrow bars are fitted to the glass both outside and inside. The windows in the house shown use this system. Traditional single glazing bars are used where single glazing is required or listing demands it Please click the glazing bars button on the left for more information.
