CASEMENT 2000
|
The made to measure Casement 2000 Window is individually manufactured to allow flexibility of design, size and style. Made in either hardwood or softwood, this window features 24mm double glazing as standard (Using Pilkington's K glass to meet the new Part L building regulations), and uses espagnollette locking (A single lockable handle operates a sliding bar with mushroom headed catches and shoot-bolts if required). There is also a night-vent position. Weatherseal gasketting provides a draught free window. Whether painted or stained, these windows look a million dollars.
Espagnollette
We use the generic term 'espagnollette' a great deal on this site. It is a geared locking system allowing a single handle to operate a number of locking points.

Glazing Bars (Astragals) If individual double glazed units are used, the glazing bars are wider than traditional in order to hide the hot-melt border around a double glazed unit. If this concerns you, we also make a 'duplex' system where a single double glazed unit is used and narrow bars are fitted to the glass both outside and inside. Traditional single glazing bars are used where listed buildings demand. Please click the button below for more information.
